Hezbollah has reported the death of its leader, Hassan Nasrallah, following Israeli raids on Beirut.
Nasrallah, who had not been seen in public for years due of worries of being assassinated by Israel, was one of the most recognized and most powerful people in the Middle East.


Air strikes continue in southern Beirut, and a BBC correspondent saw dense smoke billowing over many areas in Dahieh on Saturday morning.


Meanwhile, the Israeli military claims to be “attacking” sites in the Bekaa Valley after detecting a missile fired from Lebanon.


On Friday, Lebanese officials stated six people were killed and 91 injured in an air strike. Local officials estimate almost 800 people have been killed in Israeli strikes in Lebanon since Monday.
