Another packed Saturday of Premier League action awaits, with Manchester City, Arsenal, and Liverpool all taking part.

There are seven top-flight matches scheduled for the day, and our expert writers have selected their top picks from each of them.

Newcastle vs. Manchester City (12:30pm)

Manchester City’s midweek victory over Watford continued an intriguing pattern, as it was the fourth time in five competitive games that three or four goals were scored.

Newcastle, who lost for the first time this season last Saturday, also contributed to a four-goal game at Craven Cottage, their third encounter in a row with three or more goals.

This season, City’s league fixtures have averaged 3.6 goals per game, and betting on three or four goals to be scored again appears to be a good option.

Arsenal vs. Leicester (3pm)

The Gunners have already maintained three clean sheets in five league games this season, including shutouts over Wolves, Aston Villa, and Tottenham, and they should be able to defend against City.

Arsenal has kept three clean sheets in their last four Premier League games against Leicester, and another should result in a victory for the Gunners here.

Brentford vs. West Ham (3pm)

Julen Lopetegui, the new West Ham manager, is already having a difficult time, and while the majority of his problems stem from the Hammers’ loss of their first three home league games of the season, a trip to Brentford may not provide much relief to the unhappy Spaniard.

Brentford have already defeated Crystal Palace and Southampton at home this season, with a 4-2 loss to Newcastle on the last day of last season being their only setback in their last eight league games at the Gtech Community Stadium.

Chelsea vs. Brighton (3pm)

While Chelsea’s fortunes have improved, their previous three victories came against Bournemouth, West Ham, and Barrow, the latter in the Carabao Cup.

Brighton will be a considerably tougher challenge than all of those teams, with Fabian Hurzeler already getting the best out of his squad.

Brighton has only won once in four games, but three draws, including a 1-1 draw against Arsenal, suggest they are difficult to beat and can compete with the league’s best clubs.

Everton against Crystal Palace (3 pm)

Everton’s defensive performance is questionable, and Crystal Palace’s quick assault, led by Jean-Philippe Mateta and Eberechi Eze, could provide plenty of scoring opportunities.

However, Palace has conceded twice in three of its five games this season, against Brentford, West Ham, and Leicester, and they, too, have defensive flaws to work on.

Nottingham Forest vs. Fulham (3pm)

Nottingham Forest and Fulham will presumably be pleased with how the season has started, with the Midlands club one of only four Premier League teams still unbeaten after five games, and they may prove difficult to split at the City Ground.

Fulham played well against Manchester United on the first night of the season before being stung by a late goal, and they have built on that promise by going undefeated in their next four games.

Wolves vs Liverpool (5:30pm)

Liverpool has shown few symptoms of distress in the early days of Arne Slot’s tenure, and they should be able to capitalize on Wolves, who have one point from five games and have conceded 14 goals.

Liverpool, who have scored at least three goals in four of their past five games, may run riot with Luis Diaz and Mohamed Salah in such dominant form.
